Summer memories Part:2

Summer memories Part:2
Next day after a drive around the area to see the countryside and some of the nearby towns and as the weather was quite foggy to go to the World’s End we decided to visit the old Tin Mines of Geevor that are now a museum. Going underground was a bit claustrophobic but it was a interesting experience that I couldn’t miss. Afterwards, we went back to St. Ives and had lunch a Portmeor beach cafe  while watching the surfers.
For dinner we had booked a table at one of the 3 restaurants that we wanted to visit, Paul Ainsworth No6 in Padstow. We’ve seen Paul cooking for the Great British Menu were he won for his dessert dish and we’ve read the consistently good reviews for his restaurant. Maybe it was the one hour drive in the foggiest weather we’ve ever experienced, maybe it was a bad day for the kitchen, maybe Paul was not on site that day, but the food did not live up to our expectations and we were disappointed that we didn’t choose one of the other two restaurants in our list for that evening.

About the author

This blog aims to become our archive for the few moments in life that are worth remembering. A collection of pictures that represent our "fancy world" or how we would like the real world to be. It will include what we are passionate about; the concept and our favourites might change frequently but the subjects will remain the same; fashion, food, travels, having a good time. Hopefully, in a few years we'll be looking back at those moments of happiness and still feel excited about the choices we made at that point in time, although there are no guarantees :) We hope that the glimpses of our fancy world will help you seek more fancy moments in your life!
