A dream comes through – California road trip 4!

A dream comes through – California road trip 4!

As mentioned in my previous post, our San Francisco itinerary was quite open. I could wake up late, walk around and visit most of the have-to-see places including Twin Peaks which offers great views of the city.
After the long drives of the previous days, the 1 hour drive to Los Gatos where we dinned at the two-star Manresa  was a piece of cake :)
Chef David Kinch is very talented and respected by the industry given that a lot of the popular chefs in the area have trained at his restaurant. Even though he was travelling when we visited, his team provided a memorable dinner with my favourite (of the 17) dishes being the abalone and local milk panna cotta, the stunning vegetable garden, and the fact that you started and finished the meal with the (visually identical) petit fours; red pepper-black olive for the savoury start and strawberry-chocolate for the sweet end.
