Day out in Cambridge!

Day out in Cambridge!
On a sunny winter day we decided to go for lunch to the Midsummer House in Cambridge, which is about 1 hour from London. The restaurant is located next to the River Cam and is inside the historic Midsummer Common. It has 2 stars, was rated 7th best restaurant in the UK this year, all the food bloggers rave about it, and last year Daniel Clifford won the main course part of the Great British Menu with his wonderful slow poached chicken, sweetcorn egg and chicken spray dish which we eager to try and according to the restaurant’s website it was still on offer. Unfortunately, we were told that they stopped serving it 2 weeks ago and we were greatly disappointed. Luckily the food on offer is of a very high standard and we soon forgot all about it and thoroughly enjoyed our meal, with our favourites being the hen’s egg and the plaice.
Afterwards we went to the city’s centre  for a stroll. It’s difficult not to feel the history and the energy of the place; after all the university of Cambridge is over 800 years old which makes it the 4th oldest in the world!

About the author

This blog aims to become our archive for the few moments in life that are worth remembering. A collection of pictures that represent our "fancy world" or how we would like the real world to be. It will include what we are passionate about; the concept and our favourites might change frequently but the subjects will remain the same; fashion, food, travels, having a good time. Hopefully, in a few years we'll be looking back at those moments of happiness and still feel excited about the choices we made at that point in time, although there are no guarantees :) We hope that the glimpses of our fancy world will help you seek more fancy moments in your life!
