Culinary trip:Day3!

Culinary trip:Day3!
Dranouter is in the middle of nowhere. On our way there we went through roadworks, we almost run out of petrol, etc. But then we arrived to In De Wulf and we forgot about it all! It’s a modern inn with lovely sparsely decorated rooms and an excellent restaurant. After a much needed siesta, we got ready for our third consecutive meal, feeling glad that it was the last one planned as I was already thinking of the hours I will have to spend in the gym after this trip :)
The dinner was great. Each dish was brought to the table by one of the chefs, who explained its logic, their inspiration, its cooking method and even how the ingredients were foraged. My favourite dish was the celeriac cooked in a salt crust. They put each one of those magic balls on fire on each  dinner service and cook it until the next. Then they use the salt crust to create this amazing cheese that accompanies the dish. In my view this is as artistic and inspirational as anything.
Breakfast is served in a small area next to the restaurant and we really enjoyed it. Shortly afterwards we had to make a move again, going back east to Bruges.

About the author

This blog aims to become our archive for the few moments in life that are worth remembering. A collection of pictures that represent our "fancy world" or how we would like the real world to be. It will include what we are passionate about; the concept and our favourites might change frequently but the subjects will remain the same; fashion, food, travels, having a good time. Hopefully, in a few years we'll be looking back at those moments of happiness and still feel excited about the choices we made at that point in time, although there are no guarantees :) We hope that the glimpses of our fancy world will help you seek more fancy moments in your life!
